What Scott Hagedorn And Sam Levine Archer Will Run
The expansion of Marcel and its portfolio of agentic growth solutions, alongside the roles they already hold. For the past four years they have been Publicis' chief solutions architect and chief solutions officer respectively, steering its data and AI transformation.
The new remit spans influencer and creator marketing, sports and culture, content intelligence, and answer engine and generative engine optimisation, drawing on Publicis Sapient, Epsilon and Lotame, with clients keeping ownership and control of their data.
"Anyone can build an agent. What matters is what it knows, how it thinks and what it can deliver," said Hagedorn. Because Marcel routes each task to the model best suited to it, he added, clients are never tied to a single LLM.
From Omnicom To Publicis
Both came from Omnicom Media Group in 2022. Hagedorn was CEO of OMG North America and before that founded Hearts & Science and was the architect of Annalect. Levine Archer was chief transformation officer, North America at OMG, after roles at Hearts & Science and nearly five years at Annalect.
Why Marcel Matters Now
Marcel launched in 2017 as an AI platform connecting Publicis' people and knowledge, and now draws on a library of thousands of agentic skills built by the group's 114,000 people.
"The next frontier of AI isn't about making existing workflows faster. It's about creating sources of growth that weren't possible before," said Carla Serrano, global chief strategy officer, Publicis Groupe.
