What Happens In The Bosch Kitchen Up Film

It is a monologue. Massey traces a personal journey from his mother's tiffin business to buying his first home, and the kitchen he wants changes as his relationship with food and cooking does. What begins as a story about making do becomes one about making choices that suit the life he has now, and for him that choice is Bosch.

The film steps past product features to the feeling behind an upgrade: the first family car that replaces a scooter, the first home that finally feels like your own, the space you grew up in growing with you.

Leading With The Person, Not The Product

Kitchen and home appliance advertising usually opens with specifications, features and finishes. Ting set out to do the opposite. "An upgrade is rarely about the appliance. It's about what the home has come to mean to someone, and what the next chapter looks like," said Aadil Mehta, partner, Ting. "In an era where AI is making everything faster and more automated, we wanted to do the opposite and slow down."

The Business Goal Behind It

Behind the emotion sits a specific category push. Nitin Mishra, senior director, brand management (Region India), BSH Home Appliances India, said the aim is "to accelerate awareness and aspiration for built-in appliances in India," inviting consumers to see the kitchen as a space that reflects "their aspirations, individuality and changing needs."

Built-in appliances are usually bought once, around a renovation or a new home, which is why a film about life milestones suits the category better than a feature list. Ting staged the rollout in two phases, opening with the broader idea of everyday upgrades before releasing the Massey film. It is live on Bosch Home India's Instagram.
