Khushboo Parekh Joins Vayona Energy As AGM, Corporate Communications

Khushboo Parekh has joined Vayona Energy as assistant general manager, corporate communications, moving into renewable energy after roles across aviation, media and entertainment, and digital businesses.
- Company: Vayona Energy
- Role: Assistant general manager, corporate communications
- Previously: Senior manager, corporate communications and CSR, Akasa Air
- Areas: Corporate communications, PR, CSR, strategic and crisis communications
Khushboo Parekh's Move Into Renewables
Vayona Energy is the wind turbine maker formed from Siemens Gamesa's onshore wind business in India and Sri Lanka. Announcing the role, Parekh said she was excited to join a sector that is evolving rapidly and playing an increasingly important role in India's energy future, and thanked the company's leadership for its trust and the opportunity.
Where She Has Worked
Most recently she was senior manager, corporate communications and CSR, at Akasa Air. Before that she was public relations manager for the digital business at Sony Pictures Networks India, led corporate communications at Trell, and was corporate communications manager at Mitron TV. She has also worked with IN10 Media Network and Eros International.
Her agency years were spent at MSLGROUP, Crisscross Communication and Ogilvy Public Relations, giving her experience on both sides of the communications brief.
Her core areas are corporate communications, public relations, corporate social responsibility, strategic communications and crisis communications, a mix that maps closely to what a manufacturer in a fast-growing, closely watched sector needs.
Why The Move Stands Out
Wind manufacturers have traditionally communicated mostly with investors, regulators and project developers. As renewables become a larger part of India's power story, that brief widens to communities, talent and the general public, which is where a communicator with consumer-brand and crisis experience becomes useful.
It is also a familiar path for communications professionals: from consumer-facing companies, where reputation moves quickly, to infrastructure businesses where it is built over years and tested by single events.
