NICMAR Unveils New Brand Identity By Landor

NICMAR has unveiled a new brand identity, designed by Landor, as it sets the direction for its next phase. The institution has offered specialised education in construction, real estate, infrastructure and project management for more than four decades.
- Institution: NICMAR
- Agency: Landor
- Goals: Modernisation and unification
- Also: A new brand film
Why NICMAR Rebranded
NICMAR says two priorities drove the change. The first is a more contemporary visual identity. The second is bringing its entities under one cohesive brand for a consistent institutional presence. It also wants its positioning to match an industry that now needs skills across technology, project finance, commercial management, sustainability and the delivery of complex projects.
The institution points to the scale of public spending. The Union Budget 2026-27 allocates Rs 12.22 lakh crore to public capital expenditure, and the National Monetisation Pipeline 2.0 estimates Rs 16.72 lakh crore in monetisation potential over FY2026 to FY2030.
What NICMAR Said
Dr Tapash Kumar Ganguli, director general, NICMAR, said the institution has to think about the next 60 years and the capabilities India will need to plan, build and manage its infrastructure. He said that calls for professionals who combine engineering, technology, financial discipline and project management.
Gaurav Bajpai, director and head of admissions and marketing, NICMAR, said the rebrand changes how the institution presents itself while staying rooted in its legacy. He said the brand film connects its beginnings and contribution to India's development with the opportunities ahead, and that the new identity has "an adaptable design language".
What Comes Next
NICMAR says it wants to deepen its relevance to areas such as AI-enabled project controls, digital construction, climate resilience, new real estate asset classes and infrastructure asset management, through more industry collaboration and practical learning.
