What Shekhar Kapur Will Do At LTM
Advise on the creative side of an AI content business. BlueVerse Craft sells enterprises the ability to produce and personalise content at scale, and the risk in that pitch is output that is plentiful and forgettable. A director's judgement on story, character and craft is the counterweight.
Kapur said storytelling has always evolved with technology, from the camera to digital filmmaking, and that AI represents perhaps the most profound shift yet. The opportunity, he said, is not to replace creativity but to give creators new ways to imagine, experiment and tell stories.
Why An IT Company Wants A Filmmaker
Dr Sujay Sen, executive vice president and chief creative officer of LTM, said Kapur's association reflects a shared belief in the opportunities at the intersection of AI and media and entertainment, and that his perspective will help advance Craft's ambition of reimagining how enterprises create, scale and personalise content.
For agencies, the move is a reminder of who else now wants the content budget. IT services firms are building AI production businesses that pitch directly to marketing departments, and borrowing creative credibility is part of how they intend to compete.
