Tata Mutual Fund has launched an investor education film under its 'SIP se Units Jodo. Badhte Raho.' campaign, about continuing SIPs and collecting mutual fund units when markets turn volatile. It will play on 325 cinema screens this festive season.

  • Brand: Tata Mutual Fund, Tata Asset Management
  • Campaign: 'SIP se Units Jodo. Badhte Raho.'
  • Agency: Vitamin Content Company
  • Reach: 325 cinema screens, plus regional-language digital versions

The Tata Mutual Fund Film

A young boy regularly walks an elderly woman's dog, and each time she gives him a toy car. His collection grows. Then a day of heavy rain arrives, when it would be easy to stay home, and he turns up anyway. That act of consistency is the heart of the film, and the growing set of cars stands for units accumulated over time.

The film connects it to SIP investing: each instalment buys units, and when the NAV is lower, the same amount buys more. The value of an investment depends on both the units held and the NAV.

What Tata Asset Management Said

Anand Vardarajan, CEO and MD, Tata Asset Management, said markets will have ups and downs, but investors can choose to stay consistent with their SIPs. "Keep investing and stay focused on your long-term financial goals," he said.

Ashish Pawar, chief marketing officer, Tata Asset Management, said investing is usually explained through numbers and charts, and the brand wanted a warm story that makes accumulation something people can see.

Cinema And Regional Languages

Most SIP messaging focuses on getting people to start. This campaign is about staying the course. It launches in cinemas during Diwali and runs on Tata Mutual Fund's digital and social platforms, with regional-language versions and short edits.

Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks.

The film is on the Tata Mutual Fund YouTube channel.
