Aveeno Baby Becomes One Of The First Brands To Advertise On ChatGPT In India

Kenvue's Aveeno Baby has started advertising on ChatGPT in India, one of the first brands to use OpenAI's new ad platform in the country. The campaign was executed by Zenith, and places clearly labelled Aveeno Baby ads alongside ChatGPT's answers when parents ask about sensitive skin.

  • Brand: Aveeno Baby, from Kenvue
  • Agency: Zenith
  • Platform: ChatGPT Ads, which OpenAI launched in India in August 2026
  • Format: a labelled ad shown separately from, and below, ChatGPT's answer
  • Context: parents' questions about sensitive skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis
  • Kenvue says: Aveeno Baby is its first brand to launch such an initiative

How Aveeno Baby Appears On ChatGPT

As an ad, not as part of the answer. OpenAI's format shows sponsored units that are labelled and visually separate from the response, below it. The campaign's key visual shows exactly that: a parent asks which brand is best for a baby's sensitive skin, ChatGPT answers, and an Aveeno Baby ad card sits underneath.

Sahil Dev, marketing director for baby care at Kenvue, said parents' search for answers often starts long before they reach a doctor, and increasingly on platforms they trust and use every day. Through ChatGPT Ads, he said, the brand can reach parents when they are actively looking for information on sensitive skin and point them to science-backed content.

Why It Matters For Advertisers

This is search advertising moving into the chat window. For a category like baby care, where the purchase follows a worried question, being present at the moment the question is asked is the whole game. The brand and Zenith describe the work as built on generative engine optimisation insights and as an end-to-end lead-generation journey inside ChatGPT, which is the agency's framing of the opportunity rather than an OpenAI product name.

It also raises the question every health-adjacent brand will now face: how an ad sits next to an answer about a child's skin condition. The labelling and separation OpenAI requires are the safeguard, and early campaigns like this one will show whether parents treat the two differently.
