Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. has secured exclusive broadcast and digital rights for Serie A, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana across India and the subcontinent.

  • Rights holder: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.
  • Properties: Serie A, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana
  • Territory: India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Maldives
  • Term: Five years, starting August 22, 2026
  • Platforms: Zee5 (digital) and the Unite8 Sports channels

Building A Football Portfolio, Not Just One Deal

Bavesh Janavlekar, Chief Business Officer, Unite8 Sports, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., said, "At 'Z', our commitment is to build a robust football ecosystem that brings Indian fans closer to the sport through premium content and a quality viewing experience. The addition of key global properties like 'Serie A', 'Coppa Italia' and 'Supercoppa Italiana' to our portfolio, is a firm reflection of the scale and passion of football across the country." Serie A's roster of clubs, including AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus, and players such as Lautaro Martinez, Paulo Dybala and Mateo Retegui, gives Zee a globally recognisable league to sit alongside whatever football rights it already holds.

A Five-Year Commitment Across Seven Markets

The five-year term, starting August 22, 2026, and the territory spanning India plus six neighbouring markets, gives the deal a scale and duration that reads as a long-term subcontinent football play rather than a short-term content acquisition. Running the coverage across both Zee5's digital platform and the Unite8 Sports channels lets the company offer live matches, highlights and football content across streaming and linear television at once, rather than confining Serie A to a single platform.
