Ola Electric Revenue Halves In FY26 While Margins And Cash Improve

An electric scooter and a battery cell as halftone cutouts, for Ola Electric reporting a 50 per cent revenue fall alongside record gross margins in FY26

Ola Electric's operational revenue fell 50.1 per cent in FY26, to Rs 2,253 crore from Rs 4,514 crore, as the company traded a high-spend expansion strategy for tighter costs and stronger unit economics.

  • Deliveries: 173,787 units, down from 359,221
  • Market share: 11.61 per cent of India's electric two-wheeler market
  • Gross margin: a record 38.5 per cent in Q4 FY26, taking the full year to 30.6 per cent from 17.9 per cent
  • Net loss: narrowed to Rs 1,833 crore from Rs 2,276 crore, with a standalone loss of Rs 113 crore
  • Warranty costs: down 89.4 per cent to Rs 59 crore from Rs 555 crore

What Ola Electric Fixed While Revenue Fell

Service, mostly, and the cost of getting it wrong. Warranty costs fell 89.4 per cent to Rs 59 crore from Rs 555 crore, and average service turnaround times dropped by around 88 per cent. The company attributes part of that to the maturity of its Gen 3 vehicle architecture, after a period in which execution and service problems shaped its public reputation more than its products did.

Cash discipline improved alongside it. The company generated positive operating cash flow in the fourth quarter, and full-year operating cash outflow narrowed sharply to Rs 775 crore from Rs 2,391 crore. Free cash flow outflow fell to Rs 1,492 crore from Rs 3,367 crore. Network rationalisation, automated governance and tighter workforce management brought operating expenses down to Rs 383 crore in Q4 from Rs 779 crore a year earlier.

What The Numbers Do Not Settle

Halving deliveries is not a strategy anyone chooses outright, and an 11.61 per cent share of a market the company once led is a material loss of position. The margin and cash improvements are real, but they were achieved on a much smaller base, and the open question is whether the repaired cost structure can now carry volume back up without the service problems returning.

The company is also increasingly positioning itself as an integrated energy business rather than only an electric two-wheeler maker, with greater control over its battery supply chain. For a brand that spent its first years buying attention through scale and price, this is a different story to tell, and a harder one to market: reliability is a claim that only earns credibility slowly, and only through cars on the road behaving well.
