Nutrazen Signs Milind Soman as Brand Ambassador

Milind Soman, brand ambassador for Nutrazen

Nutrition brand Nutrazen has appointed fitness personality, model, actor and endurance athlete Milind Soman as its brand ambassador. Soman will be associated with six Nutrazen product categories, and the brand has added a Milind's Picks section to its website featuring the products he is attached to.

  • Brand: Nutrazen
  • Ambassador: Milind Soman
  • Categories covered: Simply Pure fermented yeast protein, Forever Gut, Heart Health Boost, Longevity Pro, Complete Gut Fibre and Complete Superfoods Blend
  • Founders: Dr Abhinav Sharma and Dr Bhavana Sharma
  • Brand focus: metabolic health, gut health, liver health, skin health, longevity and general wellness
  • Owned-media element: a Milind's Picks section on the brand website
  • Stated aim: raising nutrition awareness and encouraging a proactive approach to long-term health

Endorsement That Doubles as Merchandising

The Milind's Picks section is the part of this worth noticing, because it converts an endorsement into a navigational device.

Most ambassador deals in nutrition end at the campaign. The ambassador appears in the advertising, and the shopper who arrives on the website then faces the same undifferentiated product grid as before. Naming a curated set after the ambassador does something more useful: it turns his credibility into a shortlist.

That matters more in supplements than in most categories. A first-time buyer confronted with fermented yeast protein, gut fibre, a superfoods blend and a longevity formulation has no basis on which to choose, and choice paralysis in that state usually ends in no purchase rather than the wrong one. A named shortlist is a decision shortcut.

Why Soman Fits the Brief

Six categories is a wide association, and it only works if the ambassador is plausible across all of them.

Soman's public identity is unusually well suited to that spread. He is known less for any single sport than for sustained physical activity into his fifties and sixties, which maps directly onto a portfolio built around longevity, gut health, heart health and general wellness rather than around performance or muscle gain.

The founders being doctors, Dr Abhinav Sharma and Dr Bhavana Sharma, sets up the same positioning from the other direction. Clinical credentials on the supply side and demonstrated long-term fitness on the endorsement side is a coherent pairing for a category where consumer scepticism is the main obstacle.
