Why the Verticals Matter
CPG, pharma and auto are among the biggest advertising categories in India, and each buys media in its own way. Pairing them under a single vertical lead gives Uber Advertising one senior point of contact for brands and their agencies in those categories, someone who has sold video and commerce media to the same buyers at Amazon and Hotstar.
Uber Advertising sells ads across the Uber app, which puts it in the wider contest for retail and commerce media budgets that platforms such as Amazon have built up in India.
