What Grapes Worldwide Is Arguing
That the office-in-every-country model is the wrong answer to international expansion. Shradha Agarwal, co-founder and global chief executive of Grapes Worldwide, put it directly. "The future of agency growth isn't about opening offices in every country. It's about building trusted local partnerships backed by world-class execution," she said, describing the network as combining local market intelligence with India's integrated delivery capabilities.
She called Alice and Albert an important milestone rather than the destination, and said the agencies expect to build more such partnerships. The two may also selectively extend the alliance through relationships with specialist agencies in other strategic markets as the network evolves.
The Traffic Runs Both Ways
Jenn Moyer-Smith, co-founder of Alice and Albert Inc, was specific about the demand on each side. "India is one of the world's most dynamic growth markets, and we see opportunity moving in both directions: U.S. brands want a credible path into India, while Indian companies are looking to build real relevance in North America," she said, adding that the alliance connects local market intelligence with the capabilities brands need to make that move.
Sini Magon, chief operating officer and global partner at Grapes Worldwide, framed the combination as answering a specific client need for local cultural understanding alongside the ability to execute at scale. The model is designed to give clients culturally informed leadership in their target market, supported by specialist capability behind it. The agencies say they are already identifying opportunities for brands operating between North America and India. More industry news.
