SquadStack Names Saurabh Jain Head Of Finance And Legal

Saurabh Jain, joining SquadStack as head of finance and legal

SquadStack has appointed Saurabh Jain as head of finance and legal. He joins the voice AI sales platform after more than two decades in finance roles across consumer businesses.

  • Role: head of finance and legal, SquadStack
  • Company: an AI voice sales platform, which says it handles more than 50 lakh AI calls a day for over 60 clients
  • Clients named: IndiaMART, BankBazaar, AngelOne, DMI Finance, Amazon and Swiggy
  • Previously: chief financial officer at Advantage Club
  • Earlier: MobiKwik, where he led finance for the wallet business, and senior finance roles at Bharti Airtel and Zomato
  • Qualifications: chartered accountant with All India Rank 48, and a commerce graduate of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University

What Saurabh Jain Brings

Experience of companies growing faster than their finance functions. Airtel, Zomato and MobiKwik all scaled through periods where the reporting, the compliance and the capital structure had to be rebuilt while the business ran, and a voice AI platform selling into banks and marketplaces faces a version of the same problem.

Apurv Agrawal, co-founder and chief executive of SquadStack, said the company is hiring people who have already operated at the scale it is heading towards.

Jain said he is thrilled to join at a time when the company is disrupting the multi-billion CX services market with AI.

Why Finance And Legal Together

Because for an AI company selling to regulated industries they are the same conversation. Calls made on behalf of a lender or a broker carry consent, recording and disclosure obligations, and the commercial terms and the compliance terms are negotiated in the same contract.
