Mercedes-Benz India has become the title partner of the Indian Padel Tour for the 2026-27 season, in a partnership with PadelPark India. The competition will be known as the Mercedes-Benz Indian Padel Tour and will run 19 professional tournaments across 10 cities, opening in Mumbai in August 2026 and concluding in Bengaluru in June 2027.

  • Brand: Mercedes-Benz India
  • Property: Indian Padel Tour, 2026-27 season, retitled the Mercedes-Benz Indian Padel Tour
  • Partner: PadelPark India
  • Scale: 19 professional tournaments across 10 cities
  • Calendar: opens Mumbai, August 2026; closes Bengaluru, June 2027

Buying a Sport Early Rather Than Bidding for an Established One

Padel's growth in India has been driven by an expanding network of courts and rising participation in major cities, which makes a title sponsorship available at a scale and price that an established sport would not offer a single brand. Taking naming rights to an entire national tour, rather than sponsoring individual events or athletes, gives Mercedes-Benz category ownership of the sport in India at a stage where no incumbent brand holds that association.

An Audience Match More Than a Reach Play

A 19-tournament calendar across 10 cities spread over 11 months is a long-duration, relatively niche property rather than a mass-reach buy, which suits a luxury automotive brand looking for repeated contact with an affluent urban audience more than broad awareness. Padel's club-and-court setting also puts the brand physically among prospective buyers over a full season, a different proposition from broadcast sponsorship where the association is delivered through screens rather than shared venues.
