A coil of electrical cable and a small megaphone, as halftone cutouts, for Havells' Q2 FY27 results and its falling ad spend share

Havells Q2 FY27 revenue rose 34.6% year on year to ₹6,417 crore, as the electrical equipment maker's cables and renewables businesses carried the quarter ended 30 September 2026.

  • Revenue: ₹6,417 crore, up 34.6% year on year
  • EBITDA: ₹576 crore, up 30.5%; margin 9.0% against 9.3%
  • Net profit: ₹353 crore
  • Advertising and sales promotion: ₹136 crore, 2.1% of revenue

Where Havells Q2 Growth Came From

Mostly cables, which brought in ₹2,999 crore, up 47.9%, helped by commodity-linked pricing adjustments and demand for higher-capacity cables. Switchgear rose 31.3% to ₹782 crore on a domestic market recovery and rebounding exports. Renewables was the fastest-growing segment, up 147.8% to ₹329 crore.

The consumer-facing businesses grew more slowly. Lloyd, the consumer durables brand, rose 28.4% to ₹615 crore. Electrical consumer durables grew 10.7% to ₹1,072 crore, and lighting and fixtures 7.0% to ₹449 crore.

The Advertising Number

For marketers, the line to watch is advertising and sales promotion. Spend rose to ₹136 crore from ₹131 crore a year earlier, a small increase in rupees, but as a share of revenue it fell to 2.1% from 2.7% in Q2 FY26, and from 4.4% in Q1 FY27.

Part of that is mix. The segments driving this quarter, cables, switchgear and renewables, sell largely through trade and project channels, where revenue can climb sharply without a matching rise in media spend. The consumer brands that depend most on advertising grew at a slower rate.

Margins And The Quarter Before

EBITDA rose 30.5% to ₹576 crore, a slightly slower pace than revenue, and the EBITDA margin eased to 9.0% from 9.3% on higher selling, general and administrative overheads.

Against the previous quarter, revenue edged down 1.4% from ₹6,510 crore in Q1 FY27, which was put down to seasonal moderation after peak summer demand. Havells closed the quarter with a cash reserve of ₹1,190 crore.
