Check Point Appoints Krishnan V V Managing Director For India And South Asia

Check Point Software Technologies has appointed Krishnan V V as managing director and country head for India and South Asia. He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in enterprise technology.
- Role: managing director and country head, India and South Asia, Check Point Software Technologies
- Previously: country director for BFSI at Palo Alto Networks
- Earlier: Seclore, Symantec, Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Wipro
- Track record: led growth in India's financial services sector and built sales organisations across India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia
What Krishnan V V Takes On
A market where the buying has changed. Krishnan said India and South Asia are at an important inflection point and that cyber security must become a business enabler, and that he will focus on delivering measurable cyber resilience through a unified, prevention-first platform.
Ruma Balasubramanian, president for APAC and Japan at Check Point, said he combines strong customer and partner relationships, deep cyber security expertise and a proven leadership track record.
Why The BFSI Background Matters
Because that is where the money and the mandates are. Indian banks, insurers and brokerages have been under sustained regulatory pressure on incident reporting and resilience, which turns a security purchase from an IT line item into a board-level one. A leader who has sold into that room has an advantage over one who has sold into the server room.
