Yatin Padia Joins Raymond Group To Lead Business Communications

Yatin Padia's Route To Raymond
Padia led corporate communications at Arvind from February 2023, a move that took him from financial markets into one of India's largest textile and apparel groups. Announcing the new role, he described "a fulfilling 3-year tenure at Arvind."
Before Arvind he spent more than a decade at BSE, working in public relations and corporate communication for the stock exchange. Earlier still, he was manager, corporate communication, at Sharekhan from April 2008 to September 2011.
At BSE, one of India's two main stock exchanges, that work put him in front of listed companies, regulators and the financial press every day, a background that suits a group whose businesses report to public markets.
What The Role Covers
Integrated and business communications, combining corporate reputation work with the communications that support the group's businesses. Raymond has been reorganising in recent years: its lifestyle business, Raymond Lifestyle, was demerged from Raymond Limited and listed on the NSE and BSE in September 2024, which leaves a group with several businesses that each need to be explained to investors, consumers and the media.
Why The Background Fits
Padia's career has been spent explaining businesses to two very different audiences: financial markets at BSE and Sharekhan, and trade, consumers and media at Arvind. A listed, multi-business group needs both, often in the same week.
The move also keeps him in the same industry. Arvind and Raymond are two of the best-known names in Indian textiles, so he arrives knowing the category, its press and its stakeholders.
