Weber Shandwick Promotes Grace Eid To Account Director In Dubai

Weber Shandwick has appointed Grace Eid as account director in Dubai, promoting her from senior account manager at the communications agency.
- Agency: Weber Shandwick
- Role: Account director, Dubai
- Previously: Senior account manager, Weber Shandwick
- Focus: Media relations, strategic communications and visibility for technology clients
Grace Eid's Work At Weber Shandwick
Eid has been with the agency for more than three years, working on media relations, strategic communications and client visibility in the technology sector. Her work has included developing story angles and securing coverage for e& Group CEO Hatem Dowidar and other senior executives, and running media training for employees and C-suite leaders across client organisations.
Before The Agency
Before Weber Shandwick she was marketing manager at Gargash Group in the UAE, working on the group's website, communications and the marketing strategy for its collaboration with Binance, as well as projects including a Mercedes-Benz 50th anniversary coffee table book.
She was also senior account manager at APCO, where she managed communications for the UAE Space Agency, including public relations, social media and strategic communications around Space Week at Expo 2020 and the International Astronautical Congress in the UAE.
Earlier, she held digital media roles at DMS, part of the Choueiri Group, and was an assistant manager at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The promotion moves her from managing accounts day to day to leading client relationships, the point in an agency career where the job becomes as much about growing an account as running it.
Why It Fits
Her record runs across corporate communications, media relations, digital advertising, marketing strategy and event management, on both the agency and client side. That combination is typical of the people agencies in the Gulf promote into client leadership, where accounts increasingly mix executive profile-building with digital and event work.
