Reliance Consumer Products has appointed Aabhishek Das as senior manager and head of East and Northeast for corporate affairs and strategic communications, a role he took up in July 2026. He is based in Kolkata.

  • Company: Reliance Consumer Products Limited
  • Role: Senior manager and head of East and Northeast, corporate affairs and strategic communications
  • Previously: Zonal head of public affairs and government relations, Herbalife Nutrition
  • Experience: More than 19 years in corporate affairs, public policy and government relations

Aabhishek Das's Record

Das spent six years at Herbalife Nutrition, from July 2020 to July 2026, as zonal head of public affairs and government relations, tracking political and policy developments, engaging central and state regulators and leading policy dialogues and industry delegations.

Before that he was at Arvind Limited, where he was zonal head of corporate affairs, government relations, strategy, public policy and media communications, and earlier regional head for the East in corporate affairs and international market access, covering Eastern India and Bangladesh.

Government And Industry Experience

He was deputed by FICCI as principal consultant to West Bengal's Department of MSME and Textiles between January 2017 and February 2018, after working at FICCI as assistant director for government affairs, policy advisory and institutional capacity building. That work covered Skill India, Make in India, Invest India and capacity building for sector skills councils and state skills missions.

Earlier roles were at City & Guilds, Manipal Global Education Services, NIIT, FutureSoft and ICICI Bank.

Why The Role Matters

For a consumer products business expanding across a region, corporate affairs is where distribution meets regulation: state policy, local approvals and relationships with governments that differ from one state to the next. A regional lead with that background in the East and Northeast is a sign of how much of the work happens below the national level.
