Rahul Johri Joins Flash Sports & Media Holdings Board

Rahul Johri, former Chief Executive Officer of the BCCI, has joined the Board of Directors of Flash Sports & Media Holdings.

A Cricket Rights Veteran Joins A Listed Sports Holding Company
Flash Sports & Media Holdings said it intends to draw on Johri's expertise in media rights monetisation, commercial strategy and relationships across the global cricket ecosystem. Johri brings nearly 35 years of experience across the media and sports industries, including close to four years as the BCCI's first-ever Chief Executive Officer, a role he took up in June 2016 and left in 2020.
During his tenure at the BCCI, Johri oversaw the full scope of the board's operations, spanning the IPL, international and domestic cricket and the National Cricket Academy. He led the sale of the BCCI's media rights for more than USD 3 billion, one of the largest transactions in Indian sports history, and introduced the e-auction format to world cricket.
From Zee5 To The UAE's ILT20
Most recently, Johri served as President, Business at Zee Entertainment Enterprises, where he oversaw revenue across the company's television network and its streaming platform Zee5, and led the launch of the UAE-based ILT20 cricket league. Earlier, he headed Discovery Networks South & Southeast Asia, where he launched 11 channels and expanded regional-language programming. He currently leads Citadel Advisory, a media and sports advisory firm operating across India and the UAE.
