Stearns joined The Trade Desk in June 2021 as lead associate trading director in the New York area. He became director, client service, advertiser in October 2023, and now moves up to senior director.
"What keeps me here is the clients who push us to be the best and the stellar team who brings our clients' marketing vision to life," Stearns wrote in his announcement. He thanked both and said he was excited for what comes next.
Ogury And Tapad
Before The Trade Desk, Stearns spent nearly four years at mobile advertising company Ogury in New York. He joined as business intelligence manager in 2017, became director of technical account management for the Americas in 2019, and senior director in 2021. There he scaled the US campaign management team from one person to five and worked on private marketplace and programmatic guaranteed deal setup, product launches and supply-side platform relationships. He also handled product launches across programmatic, cost-per-install and iOS formats.

He started outside advertising, as a premium auditor at The Hartford in New Jersey from 2014 to 2016, a regulatory analyst at the National Stock Exchange in the US in 2013, and a sales and marketing assistant at Sasa Demarle in 2012.
The Trade Desk is one of the largest independent demand-side platforms, which advertisers and agencies use to buy programmatic media. The company has not issued a statement on the promotion.
