Vinita Sobarad has been named retail channel head for Rare Rabbit's exclusive brand outlets at The House of Rare, based in Bengaluru. She took up the role in September 2026, moving up from national sales manager for the brand.

Vinita Sobarad at The House of Rare

Sobarad joined The House of Rare in August 2023 as national sales manager for Rare Rabbit, a role she held for three years before her move to lead the exclusive store channel.

Thirteen Years At Aditya Birla Fashion

Before that she spent more than 13 years at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail. Her last role there was regional business head in Bengaluru, from June 2022 to August 2023. Before that she was retail HR head for The Collective and International Brands from 2017 to 2022, and regional learning and development manager for the north and east.

Her retail career began on the shop floor. She was floor manager at The Collective in New Delhi from 2010, then assistant store manager and store manager for Hackett London and The Collective in Delhi and Gurgaon malls.

Where She Started

Earlier, she was a fashion consultant for Gianni Versace with Blues Clothing Company in New Delhi, an advisor at The Collective in Bangalore, and assistant fashion designer and store manager at Maria Rosa in The Leela Galleria from 2006.

Why It Matters

Exclusive brand outlets are where a premium menswear label controls its presentation, pricing and service. Sobarad's background across store operations, retail HR, training and regional business gives Rare Rabbit a channel head who has worked every layer of a store network.

The House of Rare has not issued a statement on the role.
