Nestasia Turns A Guest Checking The Bottom Of A Bowl Into A Compliment

Nestasia has released its festive campaign, Designs So Good It Makes You Look, built on a small and very recognisable piece of hosting behaviour.
- Brand: Nestasia, home and lifestyle
- Campaign: Designs So Good It Makes You Look
- Format: festive film
- Range: dinnerware, serveware, drinkware and decorative pieces
What The Nestasia Film Does
It follows guests at a festive gathering who start examining what is on the table, turning pieces over to read the name underneath and finding Nestasia. A look becomes curiosity, curiosity becomes a question, and the question becomes the compliment. The line the brand hangs it on is blunt about the observation: if guests are looking under the dinnerware while you are hosting, you have good taste.
The Argument Underneath It
Festive hosting in India is social performance as much as hospitality, and the table is where a host's judgement is on display. Choosing dinnerware, arranging serveware, setting out glasses and adding decorative pieces is composition, and composition invites inspection. Most tableware advertising sells the object. This one sells being noticed for it, which is a more useful thing to sell in a category where the purchase is discretionary and the payoff is social.
What Nestasia Said
Co-founder Aditi Murarka Agrawal said festive hosting is about creating a home that feels warm, welcoming and distinctly your own, and that there is a particular satisfaction in guests noticing details a host has thought about. A compliment about a home, she said, is a compliment to the host's taste and effort.
On the campaign itself she named the character everybody recognises: the guest who cannot resist turning a bowl over, looking under a cup or asking where something came from. In the film that curiosity becomes the compliment.
The festive range runs across entertaining, dining, decor and gifting, designed so pieces work together as a setting or hold their own individually. More campaign work.
