Mayukh Ranjan Ghosh has stepped down as Senior Editor and Head of Input, Senior Anchor - Republic Bangla, at Republic Media Network.

A Departure Announced As A New Chapter

Announcing the move in a social media post, Ghosh described his time at Republic since 2021 as a period in which he "learned, evolved, stumbled, recovered, and grown as a Media Professional," and said he now feels the pull to build something of his own, calling himself unafraid of the uncertainty that comes with it.

Ghosh said he plans to take a brief sabbatical and travel before deciding on his next move, writing that he intends to return to the industry after some distance and reflection.

Closing A Nearly Six-Year Run

Ghosh's exit ends close to six years at Republic Bangla, a tenure spanning the channel's own growth in the Bengali news market, following a career path that took him through News18 Bangla, Times Network, ABP News and Star News over 14 years in Indian television news.
