Vamshi's move to State Street ends a run of more than 22 years at HSBC, where he most recently led digital finance and served as GCC site head. Over that tenure, he led finance transformation initiatives and the build-out of global capability centres across complex, multi-country operations, experience that lines up directly with the GCC leadership mandate he now takes on at State Street's Hyderabad centre.

The appointment adds to Hyderabad's already sizeable base of global capability centre leadership, with a finance and digital transformation specialist moving from one major GCC operator to another rather than being brought in from outside the ecosystem.
