Himalee Shah Joins Banijay Asia And Endemol Shine India As PR Head

Himalee Shah has joined Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India as head of public relations and communications, after more than seven years at Prime Video. She announced the move on LinkedIn, calling it the start of a new chapter.
- Companies: Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India
- Role: Head of public relations and communications
- Previously: Prime Video, more than seven years
- Earlier: The Walt Disney Company India; Weber Shandwick
Himalee Shah's New Brief
Shah will lead PR and communications for both production companies, telling the stories behind their unscripted and reality formats as well as their scripted productions. She said she is joining at a time when Indian entertainment is changing quickly and reaching audiences "across India and beyond".
Seven Years At Prime Video
At the streaming platform she led international publicity and helped shape the communications strategy for local original titles. She said the job taught her about storytelling and scale, and about what it takes to bring great content to audiences, and that she will carry those lessons into the new role.
Before Prime Video she worked at The Walt Disney Company India and at Weber Shandwick, which gives her experience on both the studio side and the agency side of entertainment communications.
From Platform To Producer
The move takes Shah from a company that commissions and distributes shows to companies that make them. Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India produce scripted and unscripted work, including major reality and entertainment formats adapted for Indian audiences.
Why It Matters
Production companies have often stayed behind the platforms that carry their shows. As streaming grows and Indian content travels further, producers have more reason to build a public profile of their own, with talent, with buyers abroad and with the brands that integrate into entertainment. A senior hire from a global streamer is one sign of that shift.
The companies have not issued a statement.
