Anjali Byce, Group Chief Human Resource Officer at Suzlon

Anjali Byce has been appointed Group Chief Human Resource Officer of Suzlon Group, succeeding Rajendra Mehta. She joins from Tata Motors, where she most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer.

  • Appointee: Anjali Byce
  • Role: Group Chief Human Resource Officer, Suzlon Group
  • Succeeds: Rajendra Mehta
  • Joins from: Tata Motors, as Chief Human Resources Officer
  • Earlier: Sterlite Technologies, SKF India, Thermax and Cummins
  • Experience: approximately 27 years across manufacturing, automotive, industrial, engineering, technology and financial services
  • Education: Master's in Applied Psychology, Delhi University; Post Graduate Diploma in HR, Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development; executive education, IMD Business School

A Career Built Across Functional Excellence

Byce's record spans a wide set of HR disciplines rather than a single specialism, including sales, strategic human resources, industrial relations, organisational development, learning and development, corporate social responsibility, and health, safety and environment.

That breadth is a reasonable fit for a group the size of Suzlon, which spans manufacturing, engineering and project execution across renewable energy, and needs HR leadership comfortable moving between shop-floor industrial relations and corporate strategic planning.

Her most recent role at Tata Motors placed her at one of India's largest automotive employers, and her earlier stints at Sterlite Technologies, SKF India, Thermax and Cummins cover a similar spread of engineering and industrial businesses.
