Qaisar Rafique At Warner Bros. Discovery

Rafique was EVP, head of commercial development for EMEA and APAC from May 2024, based in London. Before that he was SVP, head of commercial strategy for EMEA and APAC from October 2023, and held the same title for EMEA and Western Pacific from June 2022.

At Discovery Inc, he was SVP, EMEA commercial development and CFO for the UK and Nordics from March 2021 to June 2022. He had earlier been group VP, strategic development EMEA and finance for the UK and Nordics, and VP, strategic development EMEA and finance for the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

From Finance To Deals

He spent close to five years at Discovery Networks International in the CEEMEA region. He joined as director of finance and operations in the UAE in April 2013, became finance director for emerging business, and then VP, strategy and business development, working across Dubai, London and Warsaw.

Earlier he was head of FP&A and commercial finance at Moby Group in Dubai, and CFO of Dunya TV Network from January 2007 to March 2010. He began as finance manager at Punjab Group of Companies in Lahore, after an audit and consulting internship at a Lahore accountancy firm.
