NEC India Will Bring WingArc1st's Data Tools To Indian Enterprises

NEC India and WingArc1st have expanded their partnership to bring the Japanese company's data products to Indian organisations. The arrangement follows a master distribution agreement between NEC Corporation India and WingArc Singapore, part of the WingArc1st group.
- Products: Dr.Sum, for enterprise data warehousing and analysis, and MotionBoard, for data visualisation and analytics
- Target sectors: enterprise, financial services, manufacturing and the public sector
- Structure: a master distribution agreement, giving NEC India the right to take the products to market
- History: the two companies have worked together in Japan for more than two decades
- What NEC brings: industrial IoT, consulting and digital transformation work in India
What NEC India Will Distribute
Distribution, with NEC India as the route to market. Dr.Sum handles the warehousing and querying of enterprise data; MotionBoard turns it into dashboards. Together they cover the unglamorous middle of an analytics stack, the part that sits between a company's systems and the charts its managers actually look at.
Why It Matters
Marketing teams are among the heaviest users of exactly this layer. Campaign, commerce and customer data are useless until someone can query them quickly and show the answer to a decision-maker, and Indian enterprises have been buying that capability steadily. A Japanese product with a long track record, carried by a distributor with local consulting muscle, is a familiar pattern for how enterprise software enters the market here.
Neither company has named an executive or given a deal value, a term or launch customers, so the announcement is a statement of intent rather than a picture of the business it will build.
