GCPL Raises Ad Spends 13% In Q1 As Sales Grow 19%, Profit Rises 11%

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) increased its advertising and publicity spend 13% year-on-year in the quarter ended 30 June 2026.
- Ad and publicity spend: Rs 305.8 crore, up 13% from Rs 271.8 crore a year earlier
- Ad spend share: Just over 7% of quarterly revenue
- Consolidated sales: Up 19% year-on-year, on 9% underlying volume growth
- Consolidated EBITDA: Up 14%
- Consolidated net profit: Up 11% to Rs 505 crore
- Standalone India business: Sales up 12%, on 7% underlying volume growth
- GAUM (Africa, USA, Middle East) business: Sales up 47%, its strongest international performance
New Categories, Doubled GAUM Media Spend
GCPL Managing Director and CEO Sudhir Sitapati said Q1 FY27 was a strong start to the year despite elevated commodity prices and geopolitical volatility affecting input costs, with EBITDA margins at 19.0%. The company said media investments in its GAUM FMCG portfolio were doubled during the quarter. GCPL also expanded into new categories, launching Godrej Rizz in the liquid dishwash segment and rolling out Godrej Spic toilet cleaners nationally after a strong response in Tamil Nadu.
