DoubleVerify Launches Ask Neura, A Conversational Layer Over Its Verification Data

DoubleVerify has launched Ask Neura, a conversational AI experience built into its DV Pinnacle platform that lets advertisers and agencies question their verification data in plain language. It was announced in New York on 17 September 2026.

  • Company: DoubleVerify (DV)
  • Product: Ask Neura, inside DV Pinnacle
  • Data covered: fraud and invalid traffic, brand suitability, viewability, geographic alignment and attention
  • Channels: social, streaming TV and the open web
  • Engine: DV Neura, which runs across the DV Media AdVantage Platform
  • Third-party access: clients can connect tools such as Anthropic's Claude through the Model Context Protocol
  • Next: a DV Neura Activation Agent, expected in the coming months

What Ask Neura Changes For A Media Team

Who can ask the question. Verification data has always been rich and hard to interrogate: predefined reports answer the questions someone anticipated, and anything else needs an analyst. Ask Neura lets a user ask why a metric moved, get a summary, and be pointed to the right dashboard, without knowing in advance where to look.

Chief executive Mark Zagorski's pitch is about the questions people did not know to ask, and about spreading decision-making across an organisation rather than only access to data. Jake Li, trading director at Skyrise, described the practical version: understanding what changed, why, and where to focus next.

The MCP Detail Is The Bigger Shift

DV is not insisting that clients use its own assistant. Through the Model Context Protocol, advertisers can plug DV's data, insights and recommendations into the conversational tool they already use, including Claude. That treats verification as a data source for whatever interface a team prefers, rather than as a destination it has to log into.

For a verification company, that is a sensible defence. The risk in the AI interface shift is being reduced to a feed inside someone else's product; the answer is to make that feed indispensable.

From Answering To Acting

The Activation Agent is the next step. DV says it is designed to execute approved campaign changes autonomously, within guardrails set by the advertiser. That moves verification from reporting on a campaign to changing it, which raises exactly the governance questions buyers should be asking: what the agent may change, who approves, and what record remains.

It also arrives in a company under offer. Nielsen agreed in August to acquire DoubleVerify for $2.15 billion, a deal expected to close by early 2027. DV's announcement is on GlobeNewswire. More ad tech.
