What Srushti Parekh Did Before Warner Music Group
She spent a little over two years at Sony Pictures Networks India as assistant manager, from August 2024 to September 2026, on work spanning digital content creation, business development, brand partnerships and content partnerships. Before that came a year and seven months at Hungama as assistant manager, from February 2023 to August 2024, and before that a stint as key account manager at Radio City India from December 2021.
The earlier part of the route is less obviously a media career. She was manager of corporate accounts at 3A Exports India for eight months, and a senior sales associate at Futurista Unico for a year and seven months from January 2020. Her first media exposure was a four month marketing internship at Viacom18 Media in late 2019 and seven months as an associate at Performics.Convonix in the first half of that year. She began at EY as an analyst in July 2015.
Why The Acquisitions Half Of The Title Matters
Because it is the part of the job she has not held before. Partner relations is recognisable ground for someone who has run brand and content partnerships at a broadcaster and a digital audio platform. Acquisitions is a different muscle: it means sourcing and closing the rights and catalogue deals that feed a label, rather than packaging what a platform already owns.
Radio, digital audio and broadcast in sequence is an unusual shape for a music industry hire, and it is the reason the move reads as deliberate rather than lateral. Someone who has sold against music rights at Radio City and packaged them at Hungama arrives at a label knowing what the other side of the negotiation is worth. More appointments.
