Rajat Vij has joined Havas Media Network India as associate director, growth and new business, working from Gurugram from October 2026. He announced the move on LinkedIn.

  • Company: Havas Media Network India
  • Role: Associate director, growth and new business
  • Location: Gurugram
  • Previously: Lead, new business at Sociowash

Rajat Vij's Career

Vij joins from Sociowash in New Delhi, where he was lead, new business from May 2024 to October 2026. Before that he spent a year and eight months at Merkle Sokrati in Gurugram as senior manager, business development and strategy, from August 2022 to March 2024, with a focus on new business and search engine optimisation.

From August 2019 to July 2022 he was business alliance manager at Logicserve Digital, handling client relations and digital strategy. He started at Times Internet in December 2016 as senior officer, ad sales, working on display advertising and branding until July 2019.

What He Brings to Havas

His career adds up to nearly a decade on the selling side, across a publisher, two digital agencies and an independent social agency. That mix of ad sales, alliances and pitching is the profile network media agencies look for in growth roles, where the job is to find and convert new accounts rather than run existing ones.

In his post, Vij said he looks forward to building new relationships, exploring new opportunities, working with the teams at Havas and helping brands grow through marketing solutions, calling the role an exciting new chapter.

Havas has not issued a statement on the appointment. Vij's LinkedIn profile lists the new role as based in Gurugram from October 2026.

Why It Matters

Growth and new business roles have become a fixture at network media agencies as clients review accounts more often and pitches move faster. A hire from the digital side also reflects where most new media money is going in India.
