Hershey Canada Appoints Michelle Gupta As Head Of Marketing

Michelle Gupta, Head of Marketing at Hershey Canada

Michelle Gupta has joined Hershey Canada as Head of Marketing.

  • Incoming: Michelle Gupta
  • Role: Head of Marketing, Hershey Canada
  • Previously: Brand Director, B2B & B2C Oral Care, Procter & Gamble
  • Brands led at P&G: Crest and Oral-B
  • Tenure at P&G: Nine years, joining as Brand Manager in 2017

From Oral Care To Snacking

Gupta joins Hershey Canada after nine years at Procter & Gamble, where she most recently served as Brand Director for the company's B2B and B2C Oral Care portfolio, leading brands including Crest and Oral-B. She joined P&G as a Brand Manager in 2017, building close to a decade of experience in brand management before making the move to Hershey's confectionery and snacking business.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Gupta wrote that Hershey is a place where brilliant people, a snacking powerhouse portfolio, and a genuine passion for making more moments of goodness all come together, and that she was ready to be part of it.

A Portfolio Built On Occasion And Impulse

The move brings a marketer with a decade of oral-care brand experience into a category built on very different purchase drivers, impulse, gifting and seasonal occasion rather than routine replenishment. Hershey Canada's marketing mandate spans a portfolio that spans everyday chocolate to festive and gifting formats, giving Gupta a wider canvas than a single brand line to apply the brand-building discipline she developed on Crest and Oral-B.
