An Abrupt Exit After A Fast-Expanding Mandate
Warner Music Group said Zerza had decided to step down for personal reasons and would remain available to the company through the end of the fiscal year to help ensure a seamless transition. Zerza joined WMG as Executive Vice President and CFO in May 2025 and took on the additional COO title roughly a year later, before departing both roles after just over a year in the combined role.
Robert Kyncl, CEO of Warner Music Group, said Zerza had been an instrumental leader and member of the executive team during a crucial period of growth and transformation, and thanked him for his outstanding business and financial leadership and enduring contributions to WMG.
Dickler Steps In As WMG Searches For A Successor
In the interim, WMG has appointed Lou Dickler, SVP, Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, as Acting CFO. Dickler has previously served in this capacity at the company, and WMG said he brings extensive financial expertise and deep knowledge of its operations to the role while a formal search for the next permanent CFO gets underway.
