realme Sends A Harry Potter Bus To Campuses In Five Cities

A realme Harry Potter bus is touring college campuses in five north Indian cities to launch the realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition. The tour starts in Delhi on 21 September, the day the phone launches in India, and runs until 23 October.

  • Brand: realme
  • Product: realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition, made with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products
  • India launch: 21 September 2026
  • Opening stop: IPU Dwarka campus, Delhi, with an event for creators and students
  • Delhi: 21 to 29 September
  • Chandigarh: 4 to 7 October
  • Jalandhar: 9 October
  • Jaipur: 12 to 14 October
  • Noida: 16 to 23 October
  • Giveaways: chances to win the phone, realme earbuds and branded merchandise

What The realme Harry Potter Tour Adds To The Launch

Distance from the launch day. We covered the edition's announcement earlier this month; the phone goes on sale online, and most launches are over within the week. The bus stretches the campaign across five weeks and five cities, arriving at each campus with the product to handle, activities to join and a prize to chase.

The route is telling. Every stop is in north India, and it includes Jalandhar and Chandigarh, cities that rarely get a smartphone launch event of their own.

Why A Licence Needs A Physical Stage

A licensed edition trades on design details: the leather-textured back, the Hogwarts crest, a camera island styled after Hedwig, and a gift box built like a wizard's trunk, which the tech press reports is capped at 5,000. Those are things people want to hold before they believe them, and a phone on a screen does not deliver that.

A themed bus does. It gives fans a reason to photograph the brand, which on a campus is the distribution.

The Edition Sells The Brand

Very few of the students who queue at the bus will buy the edition itself, and realme does not need them to. The licence is a reason for a Harry Potter audience to spend time with realme, and the tour is where that time is spent. The standard 16 Pro is the sale; the Hogwarts crest is the invitation.

The edition's page is on realme's own microsite. More campaigns.
