Google Launches Gemini 3.7 Flash For Coding And AI Agent Workflows

Google has launched Gemini 3.7 Flash, its latest AI model aimed at software coding and automated business workflows, positioned as a lower-cost option for businesses building autonomous AI systems that can plan tasks and execute multi-step workflows with limited human intervention.
- Model: Gemini 3.7 Flash, focused on coding, debugging and agentic workflows
- Pricing: $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens through end of 2026, half the original cost of Gemini 3.6 Flash
- Timing: three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash
- Rollout: immediate availability on Gemini Spark, Google's subscription AI agent service, in over 160 countries
A Faster Cadence, A Bigger Model Still To Come
Google said Gemini 3.7 Flash improves on its predecessor in coding-related tasks, including debugging, resolving software issues and generating production-ready code, underlining the pace at which the company is iterating its AI models as competition intensifies with OpenAI and Anthropic over AI coding and agentic applications.
Investors have also been watching for Google's more powerful Gemini 3.5 Pro model, which the company said in July was being tested with partners and would arrive soon, though no release date has been given. The rollout follows an overhaul of Google DeepMind's leadership, and the departure of two of Gemini's original technical co-leads to start a new venture.
For Google, Gemini 3.7 Flash extends its push beyond consumer chatbots toward AI systems designed to perform work, write code and operate software tools on behalf of users and businesses.
