PDL Launches LyricMatic To Turn Tracks Into Lyric Videos Without An Editor

Phonographic Digital Limited has launched LyricMatic, a do-it-yourself platform that lets labels and creators build lyric videos and other visual assets from a track.

What LyricMatic Solves

The arithmetic of a catalogue. A label with thousands of tracks cannot commission a video for each one, but every streaming and social platform now expects something to look at. Lyric videos became the default answer years ago precisely because they are cheap, and this makes them cheaper by removing the editor from the loop.

Prashant Dogra, chief executive of Phonographic Digital Limited, said music today is consumed across formats and the visual layer has become increasingly important, and that LyricMatic makes creating high-quality visual content simpler and more accessible.

The Part That Makes It Work

The ISRC lookup. Pulling a track straight from PDL's COSMOS platform by its standard recording code means the rights position and the asset travel together, which is the step that usually turns a quick lyric video into a licensing conversation. The offer to produce time-stamped lyric files where none exist covers the other common blocker, older catalogue with no synced lyrics.
