What Subarna Ray Chaudhuri Brings
A television seller moving to radio, which is not the direction the market usually runs. The value she brings is the relationships and the discipline of selling integrated properties rather than spots, which is what Zee Live would have demanded.
Why The West Matters
Because it is where the money is decided. Mumbai holds the largest concentration of national advertisers and their agencies, so a west sales head at a radio network is negotiating with the same buyers who set national plans. A career spent at Zee, BBC Worldwide, TV Today and the two largest newspaper groups means those rooms are already familiar.
RED FM has not detailed what RED MAX covers, and no executive has been quoted on the appointment.
