Schneider Electric has launched a festive campaign for its Unica Pure+ flat switch range, called Pure Design, Pure Delight. The film turns the switch into the thing everyone in the house wants to touch.

  • Brand: Schneider Electric India
  • Product: Unica Pure+, a fully flat switch range
  • Campaign: Pure Design, Pure Delight
  • The film: at a family gathering a curious child keeps asking the adults to switch the fan, the lights and the Wi-Fi on and off, for the feel of the press
  • Finishes: Silver Bronze, Polar White, Volcanic Grey and Warm Grey
  • Claims carried: an uninterrupted flat face, compatibility with the Wiser home automation range, and electrical life beyond 100,000 clicks
  • Media: out of home, OTT, digital, retail, below the line and e-commerce

Why Schneider Electric Needs A Device At All

Because nobody shops for switches. They are specified by an electrician or a builder, bought in bulk, and noticed only when they fail, which makes the category almost invisible to the person living with it.

Putting a child in the film solves that in one move. A child pressing something repeatedly is the only honest way to dramatise tactile pleasure in an object an adult would never admit to enjoying.

Why Festive Is The Right Window For It

Because home improvement concentrates here. Repainting, rewiring and replacing fittings cluster around the festive weeks in a way they do not at any other point in the year, which is the one moment a household actually chooses its switches rather than inheriting them.

The finish names are doing work in that window too. Silver Bronze and Volcanic Grey are decor language rather than electrical language, which is the signal that this range is being sold to whoever is choosing the paint, not to the contractor fitting it.

What Was Said

Ratnesh Pandey, vice president of marketing at Schneider Electric India, said great design can make those moments more meaningful, and described the switch as something that quietly lifts a space.
