Muthoot FinCorp Limited (MFL) has appointed Sarah M. George as Independent Director on its board.

  • New role: Independent Director at Muthoot FinCorp, strengthening the board's audit, assurance and governance expertise
  • Career: Over 35 years across audit and assurance firms including S R Batliboi (an EY affiliate), Haribhakti & Co. and Price Waterhouse, which she joined in March 2012
  • At Price Waterhouse: All India Assurance Markets Leader, West Region Assurance Leader, and Deputy Strategy Leader for the Americas and Asia Pacific; elected to the India Board in December 2018, serving until March 2023
  • Sector experience: Indian and multinational, listed and unlisted companies across EPC, manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, retail, IT, consumer products, engineering and shipping
