Reddit is expanding its lead generation tools for advertisers, adding CRM integrations, new audience targeting and campaign features aimed at businesses that need to collect and measure leads.

  • Platform: Reddit
  • Lead Generation: prospects can be sent to a landing page or to a form, with lead data routed into existing CRM systems
  • Max campaigns: now available for lead generation, adjusting settings and creative rotation automatically
  • In-market audiences: in beta, available through Max, covering categories including enterprise and business AI and cybersecurity
  • Reddit's stated scale: more than 20 million business decision-makers globally

Why Reddit Lead Generation Is An Odd Fit That Works

Reddit is a pseudonymous platform. Asking someone to hand over a name, a company and a work email runs against the reason a lot of people are there at all.

What makes it plausible is the behaviour underneath. Reddit says nine in ten of those business decision-makers used the platform to research business products or services in the past year, a company figure rather than an audited one, and research intent is the condition under which people will give up a contact detail.

The CRM Piece Is The Serious Part

Routing lead data into an existing CRM sounds like plumbing, and it is the difference between a lead product being used and being trialled once. A lead that lands in a platform dashboard gets forgotten. A lead that lands in the system a sales team already opens every morning gets worked.

In-market audiences being restricted at first to enterprise and business AI and cybersecurity is a tell about who is buying. Those are long, researched, high-value purchases, which is exactly the shape of category where a forum conversation genuinely influences a decision.

What Is Claimed For It

Reddit says advertisers using in-market audiences saw an average improvement of nearly 7 per cent in cost per acquisition compared with other first-party targeting options. That is the platform's own measurement of its own product, and worth reading as such.

Automated campaign types like Max continue the industry pattern of moving decisions from the buyer to the system. More platform news.
