Ravi Malani, Head of Portfolio Management Services at Sanctum Wealth

Sanctum Wealth has appointed Ravi Malani as Head of Portfolio Management Services (PMS), bringing over three decades of experience in equity investing to lead the Mumbai-headquartered wealth management company's PMS business.

  • New role: Head of Portfolio Management Services at Sanctum Wealth, based in Mumbai, reporting to Roopali Prabhu
  • Experience: over 33 years across financial services, equity investing and portfolio management
  • Previous role: Head of Investments - Equities at Klay
  • Earlier career: Credit Suisse, BNP Paribas Wealth Management, Barclays Wealth Management and Kotak Securities

What The Role Covers

Malani will lead Sanctum's PMS business, including its Indian Olympians and Indian Titans strategies, a large-cap-oriented strategy and a multi-cap PMS strategy respectively, alongside its Tailored Discretionary and Non-Discretionary Portfolio Management Services. He will also sit on the Sanctum Investment Committee.

Shiv Gupta, Founder and CEO of Sanctum Wealth, said the PMS platform is an important pillar of the firm's investment offering and that there is significant opportunity to build on its strengths, adding that Malani brings over three decades of experience across equities and portfolio management, including building and leading equity businesses.

Malani said he was delighted to join Sanctum Wealth at an important stage in the evolution of its PMS business, adding that the firm's emphasis on disciplined research and a robust investment process resonates with his own approach to investing.

His career has spanned fund management, institutional equity sales, portfolio management and private banking, and he holds a management degree in finance from the University of Mumbai.
