Quickeee Puts Clothes On A Sixty Minute Clock In Mumbai

Quickeee has launched in Mumbai with a 60-minute delivery guarantee on apparel, footwear and accessories, and a try-before-you-buy model built into every order. It is live in Mumbai only.
- Promise: delivery anywhere in Mumbai within an hour of ordering
- Model: customers try at home and pay only after the product meets their requirements
- Infrastructure: a network of dark stores with rapid pick, pack and dispatch
- Funding: an undisclosed round, earmarked for fulfilment, catalogue and expansion
- Next: additional Indian cities in the coming months
Why Fashion Is The Hard Version For Quickeee
Quick commerce solved a category where the customer knows exactly what they want and the item is identical every time. Fashion is the opposite. Size, fit and how something actually looks are unresolved at the moment of ordering, which is why apparel carries return rates that would destroy a grocery model.
Try-and-buy is Quickeee's answer, and it is an expensive one. Paying only after the product meets requirements moves the entire risk of the return onto the platform, and every rejected item is a delivery paid for twice. The economics only work if the curation is good enough that most orders stick.
One City, On Purpose
Launching in Mumbai alone is the sensible read of that constraint. An hour-long delivery window across a whole city needs dense dark store coverage, and dense coverage in one market is affordable in a way that thin coverage in five is not.
The funding is undisclosed, which is worth noting given it is doing the work of both fulfilment build-out and expansion. More brand and retail news.
