What Nikon Has Actually Changed
It removed the eyepiece. The Z5IIC takes the internals of the Z5II and puts them in a flatter body with no electronic viewfinder, which is a decision about who the camera is for. Anyone who learned photography on a phone composes on a screen held away from the face, and the viewfinder is a feature they have never used.
The scene modes point the same way. Nikon says this is its first full-frame mirrorless camera to put scene modes on the mode dial, which is an entry-level convention arriving in a professional format.
Why It Matters Beyond Photography
Because the tools shape the output, and full-frame at this price changes what a small brand team or a solo creator can produce. Sajjan Kumar, managing director of Nikon India, said the camera is designed for creators looking to move to a full-frame mirrorless system while also offering features suited to video production.
The trade-off is worth naming. A screen-only camera is harder to use in bright sunlight, which is most of the Indian shooting year.
