Intex Technologies has been named official series sponsor for the West Indies senior men's India tour 2026. Its branding will appear on the back of the West Indies team shirt for the duration of the tour.

  • Property: West Indies senior men's India tour 2026, running 27 September to 17 October
  • Format: three ODIs and five T20Is
  • Venues: eight cities, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, New Chandigarh, Lucknow, Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru
  • Rights: brand placement on the back of the West Indies team shirt across all matches
  • Context: follows Intex associations this year around the India series against Afghanistan, Ireland, England and Sri Lanka

What Intex Is Buying

Continuity rather than a single moment. Five series in a year is a presence strategy, and it is priced very differently from one marquee property, because a touring side's shirt is a fraction of the cost of the home team's front.

For a consumer electronics brand competing on value, that arithmetic matters more than the prestige of the placement.

Why The Away Shirt Works

Because the camera does not distinguish. A bilateral series in India is watched for the cricket, and the back of the fielding side's shirt is on screen for a large share of the broadcast regardless of which team it belongs to.

What it does not buy is affiliation. A brand on the visiting shirt is visible without being adopted, which suits awareness objectives and does little for sentiment.

The tour itself is unusually long for a bilateral series, at eight matches across three weeks, which is what makes a shirt placement worth more here than the format normally justifies.

What Was Said

Intex director Keshav Bansal said cricket gives the company a unique opportunity to engage with consumers through a sport they genuinely love and follow. Cricket West Indies chief executive Chris Dehring said CWI was delighted to partner Intex for the tour, bringing together a trusted Indian consumer brand.
