Flipkart Takes On Casio After-Sales Service Across India
Flipkart's after-sales arm F1 Info Services will handle walk-in repair and replacement support for Casio in India. The arrangement covers calculators, watches and electronic musical instruments.

What Casio Gets
Physical service reach it would take years and considerable capital to build alone. Service centres are the least glamorous part of a consumer durables business and one of the most decisive, because a brand that cannot be repaired locally loses the second purchase rather than the first.
Why Flipkart Is Selling This
Because a marketplace that has already built a national service network for its own returns and repairs has spare capacity in it, and that capacity is worth more rented out than idle.
It is also a relationship that runs the other way from the usual one. Flipkart is the vendor here, and Casio the client, which is a different and stickier arrangement than a seller listing on a platform.
Calculators explain the scale difference in the network. Casio sells them in volumes that no watch or instrument line approaches, largely through schools and colleges, which is why that side of the arrangement reaches 228 cities and the rest reaches 24.
