Crocs has launched a festive campaign on its global Feel It All platform, starring KL Rahul. The social-first film turns an Instagram scroll into a doorway between celebrations.

  • Brand: Crocs, on its global Feel It All platform
  • Lead: KL Rahul
  • Also in it: actor Dalip Tahil, creators Rida Tharana and Prish, and bodyguard Amin Khan
  • The device: a dhoom scroll, where each swipe of the feed opens into a different festive setting and a different personality
  • Creative: One Hand Clap
  • Music: an original soundtrack by Mikey McCleary
  • Product in frame: the Classic Ballet silhouette and the Saturday Sandal, with Jibbitz charms

Why Casting KL Rahul As A Scroller And Not An Athlete Works

Because the product is not performance footwear and pretending otherwise would be the easy mistake. Clogs and sandals are bought for comfort and self-expression, and a cricketer shot mid-innings would sell neither.

Putting him in a feed instead borrows the familiarity without the sport. It is also the only honest way to use a celebrity in a social-first film, where the viewer is already scrolling and the film is pretending to be part of that scroll.

What The Format Is Really Built For

Cutting. A film made of discrete swipe-to-scene units can be sliced into as many standalone pieces as there are scenes, each of which still carries the idea, which is how a festive platform stays alive for six weeks on one shoot.

The cast list reads the same way. A film star, two creators and a bodyguard are four different follower bases, and the edit for each of them already exists in the master.

What Was Said

Varun Sehgal, senior vice president and general manager for APAC at Crocs, said India's festive season is not only a key business moment but a powerful expression of culture, identity and individuality. Nirzery Iswalkar, group creative head at One Hand Clap, said the idea was to create a festive celebration that feels as varied and unpredictable as the people in it. KL Rahul said being part of a film with so much energy and personality was fun.
