Vikrant Mudaliar has joined Cruise Money as co-founder, leaving his role as chief marketing officer of Dream Sports. He joins founder and chief executive Vinay Bharathwaj and co-founder Ganesh KV to build the personal finance platform's product, brand and business.

  • Appointment: co-founder at Cruise Money, a personal finance platform
  • Previously: chief marketing officer at Dream Sports, where he helped scale Dream11
  • Earlier: Yatra, Lenskart and Tata Sky, across travel, eyewear and television
  • Working with: Vinay Bharathwaj, founder and chief executive, and Ganesh KV, co-founder
  • Product: an AI-first platform pulling investments, spending and financial goals together, with a flagship metric called WealthSpan

The Thread Through Vikrant Mudaliar's CV

Mudaliar's career reads as a tour of India's consumer economy, more than two decades across marketing, revenue and growth in sports, gaming, media, e-commerce and consumer businesses. What connects the stops is narrower than the list suggests. Fantasy sports, eyewear prescriptions and set-top boxes are all categories people found confusing before somebody made them ordinary.

He was candid about why personal finance appealed on those grounds: consumers struggle to work out whether their savings and investments actually line up with their longer-term goals, and getting people to engage with categories they find intimidating is the thing he has spent twenty years doing. Money, on his reading, is the largest version of that problem in the country.

What Cruise Money Is Selling

The platform pitches itself as AI-first, and its flagship feature, WealthSpan, is a metric built to show users whether their current trajectory matches what they say they want. That is an ambitious promise in a market where financial literacy is uneven, and the hard part will be trust rather than interface.

There is regulatory structure behind it. Cruise Money is operated by NeuralFin Technologies, which works within the RBI-regulated Account Aggregator framework for read-only access to financial data, with advisory guidance sitting inside a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser framework. The company is in launch mode, with its site live and a beta app on both app stores. More people moves.
