TIPS Music Q2 Revenue Rises 35 Per Cent To Rs 120.1 Crore

TIPS Music reported second-quarter revenue up 35 per cent year on year to Rs 120.1 crore, with profit after tax up 23 per cent to Rs 65.5 crore.
- Revenue: Rs 120.1 crore, up 35 per cent
- Profit after tax: Rs 65.5 crore, up 23 per cent
- Content acquisition: Rs 26.2 crore, up 97 per cent
- Releases: 73 tracks, 40 film and 33 non-film
Where The TIPS Music Growth Came From
Streaming engagement across the regional catalogue and new releases, according to the company. Named performers include the Punjabi album Ishqnama, which the label states crossed 100 million YouTube views, and the recreated single Aankhon Se Tune at over 66 million.
The catalogue did its own work. Tera Naam Doon, an older track, passed one billion views on Instagram Reels, which is the pattern that makes a music library behave like an annuity rather than a release schedule.
The Number Underneath The Numbers
Content acquisition investment nearly doubled, rising 97 per cent to Rs 26.2 crore from Rs 13.3 crore. That is the line that says what the company thinks the next few years look like, and it is growing faster than revenue.
The company states its cumulative YouTube footprint reached 164.5 million subscribers and more than 54.3 billion lifetime views, which is the inventory that spend is buying into.
What It Signals For The Category
Chairman and Managing Director Kumar Taurani confirmed the company is on track to surpass full-year revenue growth guidance of 20 per cent, and the quarter carried an interim dividend of Rs 6.50 per share alongside a completed Rs 44.44 crore buyback.
Paying out and buying back while doubling acquisition spend is a particular posture: confidence that licensing across OTT platforms, short-form video and audio streaming keeps compounding, rather than a bet that needs the cash held back.
